11 Thursday January 5, 1832 Met according to adjournment An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs. Megquier, Boutelle and Emerson with such as the House may join a Committee to examine the returns of votes for Governor given in, in the several towns and plantations in this State and the House concurred and joined Messrs. Pierce of Gorham, Hinkley of Bluehill, Shaw of Sandford, Crowell of Waterville and Nason of Orono - sent up. The Standing Committee on Contested Elections were nominated by the Speaker and appointed by the House as follows Messrs. Clifford of Newfield " Hamlin " Columbia " Lowell " East Machias " Bronson " Anson and "Smith " Portland Ordered that John Chandler and John Pitts now holding seats in this House from the Representative District of Belgrade and Dearborn be suspended from their seats, until the House shall decide which is entitled to hold the same if either. Ordered that when this House adjourn it adjourn till tomorrow morning at nine o'clock The Committee appointed to prepare Rules and Orders for the Government of this House during the present session of the Legislature made their report which was read and accepted. On motion of Mr. Robinson of Vassalborough - Ordered that three hundred copies of the Rules and Orders of this House, adopted at the present session be printed for the use of the members.
