Report of Committee on Elections to whom was referred the remonstrance of Ephraim Sturtevant, submitting a Resolve - "That Joseph Smith having been duly elected Representative from the town of Cumberland is entitled to a seat in this House" - was read and accepted - and the Resolve read and passed.

Order of the 20th instant, instructing the Valuation Committee to report to this House as soon as may be, in regard to Clerks &c - came from the Senate amended by striking out at "A". the words "this House" and inserting in place thereof the words "Legislature" - and the House recede from their former votes so far as to concur with the Senate in this amendment.

Petition of George F Richardson and others and papers relative thereto, came from the Senate for concurrence referred to the Committee on the Judiciary - and the House concurred

Bill - authorizing Barnabas Brackett to maintain a Dam and Slip in Moose Brook - was read a first and second time and wednesday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a third reading.

Bill in addition to an act to provide for the packing of pickled and smoked Fish was read a first and second time and monday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a third reading.

Bill - for the preservation of Fish in the town of Columbia - was read a first and second time, and Monday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a third reading.

Bill - making further provision for the partition of Real Estate - also - Bill - to incorporate the town of Amherst, as amended
