[Pet. refered.] The petition of the Court of Sessions in Lincoln county for an alteration of the Time of holding the same in Topsham, was read and referred to the Joint standing committee on the Judiciary. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

[Pet. taken from the files & refered.] On motion of Mr. Hinds, the petition of John Moore and others, for a grant to Anson Academy, was taken from the files and laid on the Table, and afterwards referred to the Joint standing committee on Literary Institutions. Sent down for concurrence. concurred.

[Communication from the Sect. of State ordered to be printed.] A communication was received from the Secretary of State, transmitting "a statement of the expenditures heretofore made by this State for roads and Bridges," read, and ordered that 500 copies of said statement be printed for the use of the Legislature. Sent down for concurrence. concurred.

[Order.] Order from the House of Representatives, appointing Messrs. Harris, Mitchell and Holden, with such as the Senate may join, a committee to receive the property in the Office of the Treasurer of State from the late Treasurer Elias Thomas, esqr. and transfer the same to Abner B. Thompson, esqr. Treasurer elect, read and passed, and Messrs. Fuller and Megquier are joined.
