Sent up. The same committee reported as duly engrossed Resolve in favor of William Vance - providing for the promulgating the Laws of the State, which were finally passed, sent up. Bill to revoke the Charter of the Cumberland Insurance Company was read a third time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence. On motion of Mr. Emerson, Ordered that the Committee on State Lands be instructed to inquire into the expediency of authorizing the Agent for the Passamaquoddy tribe of Indians under the direction of the Governor and Council to sell in small parcels to actual settlers, such parts of the Indian Townships in the county of Washington as are suitable for settling lots; and and when sold to appropriate the proceeds thereof to the use of said Indians - sent up for concurrence.
