Tuesday, February 14, 1832

Remonstrance of Stillman Howard and others against the erection of a Boom at Brown's Island, was read and referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges, and Canals, in concurrence.

The petition of Joseph Porter and others, for an agricultural society in York County, was read and referred to the committee on agriculture. Sent down for concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives, instructing the committee on the Judiciary to enquire into the expediency of amending the law relating to trespass, for the better protection of timber, wood, fences, and other movables, read and passed in concurrence.

The petition of Jeremiah Winslow and others, to be incorporated into a Manufacturing Company, was read and referred to the committee on Manufactures, in concurrence.

The remonstrance of inhabitants of Bucksport, in relation to the fisheries in Penobscot river, was read and referred to the committee on Interior Fisheries, in concurrence.

Resolve in favour of John Bodwell was read a second time and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.

Resolve in favour of Joseph Colley was read once and tomorrow, at ten o'clock, assigned for a second reading, and the same was committed to Messrs Porter, Smith, and Eastman.
