An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the committee on interior fisheries to inquire whether the existing laws are sufficient for the preservation of the fish in the Penobscot River and its tributary waters and that said committee be requested to report witherin five days read & passed in concurrence -

On motion of Mr Washburn of Livermore -

Ordered that the committee on finance be instructed to inquire into the expediency and justice of causing an equitable proportion of the state tax for the current year to be assessed upon the Inhabitants of this state, residing upon the unincorporated territory north of the town of Albion in the County of Kennebec with leave to report by bill or otherwise - read and passed -
