Petition of inhabitants of Litchfield - to be set off from Lincoln and annexed to Kennebec - was read referred to the Committee on Divisiom and alteration of Counties -

Petition of George Allen for change of name was read and referred to the Committee on change of name -

Bill to incorporate the State bank was read a third time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate -

Agreeably to assignment the House proceeded to the choice of a Major General of the Fourth Division of the Militia of this State - Messrs Chase of Calais, Reed of Madison, Redman of Brooksville, Norton of Kingfield and Parlin of Milurn were appointed to a Committee to receive sort and count the votes therefor - who having attended to the duty assigned them reported that the whole number given in was one hundred and nineteen, necessary to constitute an election sixty, Abner B. Thompson had one hundred and thirteen and was declared elected -
