Met according to adjournment.

Report of the Committee on Division of Towns as amended granting leave to withdraw on Petition of Nathaniel Malbone came from the Senate for concurrence - and the House nonconcurred and referred the Petition to the next Legislature - sent up for concurrence.

Petition - of Manassah Lawrence and others and accompanying papers taken from the files of the Senate were read and referred to the Committee on Incorporation of Towns - sent up for concurrence.

Message from the Governor.

To the Senate and House of Representatives

Therewith transmit for the consideration of the Legislature the Report of the Inspectors of the State Prison at Thomaston.

The Secretary will also lay before you a memorial directed to this Legislature of the "American Convention for promoting the Abolition of Slavery and improving the condition of the African Race agreeably to the request of the Officers of the Convention.
