J.Mason Bangor Jan 26 Certificate about Mr. Boyce's health

Bangor Maine Jan'y 26th 1862

About the Case of Sept 1861 I made a certificate for W.H. Boyce Corporal in Co. I Capt. Carroll's Co. 2d Regt. M.V.M. stating that he remained unfit for duty in his Regt. & that his furlough should be extended for 2 or 3 months & as I under- stood, the furlough was extended afterwards. In Nov. I examinded him & found that he remained unfit for military duty & gave him a certificate to that effect.
