Bill to incorporate the Hancock Agricultural Society, laid on the table by Mr Burnham, was read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading; and the same was committee to Messrs Talbot, Birdgham and Lithgow.

Resolve in favour of J. Berry and Co. Laid on the table by Mr Talbot was read once and tomorrow, at ten o'clock, assigned for a second reading; and the same was committed to Messrs. Talbot, Smith, and Eastman.

A message was received from the governour, informing the Senate of the resignation of Joseph Chandler, Major General of the Second Division of the Militia of this State, read and sent down.

On motion of Mr Hodgman, ordered, that tomorrow at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, the Senate will on their part, proceed to the choice of a Major General for the second Division of the Militia of this State.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as correctly engrossed, Resolve to admit Zebah Washburn to practice law, Resolve for admitting James F. Leavitt to practice law, Resole in favour of Charles Jarvis and the same were finally passed.
