267 The doors being opened. Resolve providing for the choice of Electors of President and Vice President was read a second time and the question of passing said Resolves to be engrossed as amended, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit, Yeas - Messrs. Bridgham, Burnham, Davee, Dunlap, Eastman, Emerson, Gibson, Goodwin, Groton, Hodgman, Hunton, Keith, Lithgow, Megquier, Merrill, Smith, Sweat, Talbot, Thayer, Thompson, and Webb - 21. Nays - Messrs. Boutelle, Porter, and Scammon 3. Sent down for concurrence. Adjourned. Afternoon Resolve relating to a demand against Joseph Southwick, was read a second time and passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent down for concurrence. Resolve in favour of Zadock Bishop and others, was read a first and second time, and passed to be engrossed in concurrence. Bill additional to an act for regulating marriage and for the orderly solemnization thereof came up from the House indefinitely postponed for concurrence and the Senate concurred.
