being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the negative as follows. To wit.

[Yeas.] Yeas. Messrs. Dole, Drummond, Eastman, Fuller, Gardner, Harding, Hinds, Kingsbery and Morse 9

[Nays.] Nays. Messrs. Davee, Dunlap, Goodwin, Hall, Hutchinson, Hutchings, Ingalls, Megquier, Pike, Steele and Sweat, 11

The question of passing said Resolve to be engrossed being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative as follows, To wit:

[Bill to set off Jas. Meader from Westbrook to Falmouth] An Act to set off James Meader from Westbrook to Falmouth, reported by the committee on the Division of Towns, was read once, and Saturday next at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

[Bill to set of [off] John Gowen's land from Acton to Shapleigh] An Act to set off John Gowen, and others' land from Acton to Shapleigh, reported by the committee on the incorporation of Towns, was read once, and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

[Bill to organize, govern & discipline the Militia -] An Act to organize, govern and discipline the Militia of this State, and after some discussion of the same the Senate
