Friday, March 18, 1831.

[Resolve laying a tax on the several counties in this State.] Resolve laying a tax on the several counties in this State, was read once and monday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a second reading, and the same was committed to Messrs. Kingsbery, Dole and Megquier.

[Petition refered] The petition of the Assessors of the town of Cumberland, for deduction from State valuation, was read and refered to the Joint standing committee on the State valuation, in concurrence.

[Bill respecting Innholders, &c.] "An additional Act respecting Innholders, Retailers and Common Victualers" was read once and Tuesday next at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading, and the same was committed to Messrs. Hinds, Davee and Eastman.

[Bill altering the times of holding C.C. Pleas in York County.] An Act altering the times of holding the Court of Common Pleas in the county of York, came up from the House indefinitely postponed for concurrence. And the Senate concurred.

[Memorial of the Land Agent refered.] Memorial of the Land Agent in relation to Anthony Merchant's contract for the purchase of a part of Merchant's Island, was read and refered to the Joint standing committee on State lands in concurrence.

[Petition refered.] The petition of A. Brooks and William Godfrey, respecting pilotage, was read and refered to the Joint standing committee on the Judiciary in concurrence.
