The petition of choses Sweat for aid foe Parsons field Seminary. Read and referred to the joint standing Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions in concurrence.

The petition of Asa Redington and others, praying for a law releiving the State from the burden of the present militia system; " of certain inhabitants of the town of Freeport: " of John Bearer and others; " of the inhabitants of the town of Wellington; " of Levi G. Fletcher and others; " of William K. Eastman and others praying for alterations in the Militia Law, were severally read and referred to the joint standing committee on the Militia in concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the town of Lexington, was taken from the table, and recommitted to the Joint Standing Committee on Incorporation of Towns. Sent down for concurrence.
