66 came from the Senate referred to the Committee on the Division of Towns for concurrence, and the House concurred. -

On motion of Mr Clark of Hallowell Ordered, that the joint Committee on Roads, Bridges & Canals be instructed to inquire into the expediency of repealing or modifying the remedy by civil action against towns and plantations for damages happening to persons their teams carts and carriages passing and travelling thereon from any defect in the Highways - sent up for concurrence

On motion of Mr. Hamlin Ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by law an uniform method for the promulgation of the public laws through the several newspapers published in this State, with leave to report by bill or otherwise, sent up for concurrence -
