The Order introduced by Mr Bronson on the 20.th. instant, which was laid upon the table, was taken up and passed as amended, so as to refer the same to a select Committee of this House consisting of Messrs. Bronson, Lowell and Poor

On motion of Mr Knowlton - Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of passing a resolution empowering and directing, the Selectmen of the several towns and plantations to give in their votes upon the following question - shall the Constitution of this State be so amended, that the time of meeting of the Legislature shall be fixed on the third wednesday of August instead of the first Wednesday of January - sent up for concurrence -
