Ordered - that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of defining by law the fees for which Sheriffs may demand or receive at the rate of twelve per. cent. of their Deputies - sent up for concurrence.

Report - of the Committee on the Judiciary to whom was referred an order relative to repealing the second second section of an Act passed March 8. 1826. entitled an "Act additional to an act for the settlement of certain equitable claims arising in real actions" - that said section ought not to be repealed - came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the Senate concurred.

Report - of the same committee to whom was referred an order providing that neat cattle may go at large that legislation on the subject is inexpedient - came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Report - of the same committee to whom was referred an order relating to the relief of the poor residing without the limits of any town or plantation and also an order relative to providing by law that organized plantations shall be required to support such persons as may become paupers within the limits of said plantations - that legislation on the subject is not now expedient -
