102 of William King. made a Report asking leave to be discharged from further consideration of the subject, and that the same. together with the accompanying documents, may be referred to a joint select Committee; which was read and accepted, and the same was referred to Messrs. Talbot, Hunton and Williamson with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence, Concurred and Messrs, Jarvis of Ellsworth, Huse of Wilton Puree of Gorham, Cilley of Thomaston and Chase of Calvis were joined on the part of the House.

The Secretary of State laid on the table a written message from the Governor, accompanied by sundry Documents, which was read and referred with the accompanying documents to the Joint select Committee on so much of the former message as relates to South Carolina. Sent down for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Burnham. Ordered that the Committee on Interior Fisheries be instructed to enquire whether the existing laws are sufficient for the preserveation of the fish in Penobscot River and its tributary waters and that said Committee be requested to report within five days. Read and passed. Sent down for concurrence.
