145 Friday February 3, 1832 Met according to adjournment

On motion of Mr. Dummer Ordered that the Secretary of State be directed to furnish for the use of the House of Representatives the third volume of the Laws of Maine, the publication of which was directed by a Resolve passed March 30, 1831.

Report on petition of Inhabitants of Bath granting an order of notice came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House amend the same by striking out the order of notice and inserting in lieu thereof, that the petitioners have leave to withdraw their petition - and accept the same as they amended - sent up for concurrence.

Moses Shaw of Wiscasset appeared, presented his credentials was qualified and took his seat.

On motion of Mr. Newall Ordered that the Committee on Literary Institutions be instructed to enquire into the expediency of authorizing by law the several School Districts in this State to expend a certain portion of the money appropriated for the support of schools in procuring Diagrams, Philosophical apparatus &c for the use of their respective primary schools and report by bill or otherwise, sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Dane, Ordered that the Select Committee of this House to whom was referred the report of the Committee on Leave of Absence be discharged from the further consideration of the subject. The Report was then amended by striking out all the names of the members therein mentioned and the same as thus amended was indefinitely postponed.
