Met according to adjournment.

On motion of Mr Snow of Frankfort Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of providing by law to dispense with the attendance of female witnesses in Courts and taking their depositions except in criminal cases -read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Swan of Portland, Ordered That Messrs Swan of Portland, Clark of Limington & Miller of Waldoboro' with such as the Senate may join be a committee to examine and settle the accounts of Elias Thomas Esqr Treasurer of the State for the last political year - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence

On motion of Mr Barnard of Dixfield Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of passing a law giving seasonable notice to members elect of the House of Representatives of an intention to contest their election - read & passed, Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Blake of Otisfield, Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expedient of passing a law regulating the flowing of meadow lands owned in common by several individuals read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to prevent the destruction of Moose, Deer & Carraboo [Caribou], was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - in favor of the settlers in townships numbered ten & eleven was read a second time & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.
