Message of the Governor in relation to the Report of the Commissioner of Public Buildings, was taken up and with the accompanying documents referred to the Committee on Public Buildings, sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Joshua Swett and others for a Resolve to compel the Proprietors of Cumberland and Oxford Canal to pay damages for flowing land was read once and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary, sent up for concurrence.

Remonstrance of Joseph Merry and others, - of John Cunningham and others were severally read and referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Calais Railway Company came from the Senate, they having adopted the two first amendments proposed by the House, and nonconcurring in the third amendment and further amending the Bill as on sheet annexed marked B and passing the same to be engrossed as thus amended - and the House recede from their vote passing the Bill to be engrossed, reconsider their vote whereby they adopted the third amendment, adopt the amendment proposed by the Senate and pass the same to be engrossed as thus amended in concurrence.
