inhabitants of the town of Hallowell against the petition of Peter Grant and others Petition of Henry Dodge and others to be set off from Montville and annexed to Freedom were severally read and referred to the Committee on Division of towns - sent up for concurrence.

The Committee on Engrossed Bills report as duly engrossed Bill further in addition to incorporate the Maine Stage Company which was passed to be enacted - sent up in concurrence.

On Motion of Mr. Dumont of Hallowell Ordered that the Joint Select Committee who were authorized to employ a draftsman be instructed to contract with Mr. Redington of Augusta at Three Dollars per day - read and passed - sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Henry Jones for Legislative Relief in a certain Law Suit was read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary in concurrence with the Senate.
