An Order came from the Senate appointing a Joint Select Committee on apportionment of Representatives to Congress, on their part consisting of Messrs. Williamson, Burnham, Drummond, Cobb, and Read; with such as the Senate may join for concurrence - And the House concurred and joined Messrs. McCrate of Nobleborough, Came of Alfred, Morrill of Waterville, Fletcher of Norridgwock, Spring of Hiram, Smith of Westbrook, Gilmore of Newburgh, Clapp of Hancock, True of Montville and Hedway of Machias - sent

Resolve for the preservation of the Documents printed by order of the Legislature - which in this House yesterday was read twice and ordered to lie on the table, was taken up and read a third time and passed to be engrossed - sent up -

Report of the Committee on Leave of Absence, granting leave of Absence to Mr Holway of Machias during the remainder of the Session - was read and ordered to lie on the table.

An Order came from the Senate for concurrence, directing that the following be a joint Rule of the two Houses, and that the same be printed with the Rules and Orders - That it shall be the duty of all the joint Committees of the two Houses and the Committees of each House excepting the Select Committee on apportionment of Representatives to Congress, and the Standing Committee on the Militia, to report progress, if not finally on every subject committed to them respectively within seven days next after such commitment, provided that this Rule shall not take effect until after the twelfth day of the Session - and the House concurred sent up.
