Resolve in favour of Willard Snell was read once and tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a second reading

Resolve in favour of the town of Pittsfield laid on the table by Mr Whitney of Pittsfield was read once and tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a second reading

Resolve to amend the constitution relative to the time of the annual sessions of the Legislature and the time of the annual State Sections was taken up and committed to a joint select committee consisting of Messrs Abbott of Vassaboro Pierce of Portland and Jarvis of Ellsworth with such as the Senate may join sent up for concurrence

The Order introduced by Mr Robinson of Hallowell requiring certain information of the Warden of the State Prison was on Motion of Mr Jewett of Portland taken up and the question on taking it up was taken by yeas and Nays and decided as follows Yeas 119 Nays 46 see appendix page A Motion having been made to postpone the Order indefinitely the previous question was called for an being sustained the question was then taken shall the main question be now pat which was decided in the affirmative the order was then indefinitely postponed and the question on so postponing was taken by yeas and Nays and decided as follows Yeas 113 Nays 46 see appendix page
