307 Friday February 28, 1834

Met according to adjournment

Resolve proposing an amendment to the constitution of this State was read a second time and passed to be engrossed as taken into a new Draft - sent up for concurrence

Mr. Carpenter of Howland was qualified and took his seat

Bill to incorporate the Kennebec Dam Company was read a first and second time the amendment of the Senate adopted - 400 copies of the amendments so adopted ordered to be printed and Tuesday next at ten o'clock assigned for a third reading of the bill

A Message was received from the Senate informing the House that a vacancy has occurred in the 10th Senatorial District by the resignation of Drummond Farnsworth proposing a convention of the two branches of the Legislature tomorrow at eleven o'clock fir the purpose of filling said vacancy and that John Reed and Henry Warren are the Constitutional candidates - requesting the concurrence of the House - and the House concurred - and the Clerk by Message acquainted the Senate therewith

Report of the Bank Comissioners was read
