The Select Committee of this House to whom was referred a Bill relative to costs made a Report recommending a reference of the same to the next Legislature, which was read and accepted; and the Bill referred to the next Legislature. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of John Russ and others to be incorporated by the name of the Farmington Falls Hemp Company was read and referred to the Committee on Manufactures. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Webster, Ordered, That the Committee on Finance be directed to apportion a Tax of fifty thousand four hundred dollars and seven cents upon the several counties and Towns in this State having regard only to estate and having no reference whatever to the number of polls.

Report on an order relating to broad rimmed wheels, that legislation on that subject is inexpedient was read and accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

The Committee on Engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill to establish the Oxford Canal Corporation - for building a bridge in Freeport, which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up.

The same committee reported as duly engrossed, Resolve for admitting James T. Leavitt to practice law - in favor of Charles Jarvis, which were finally passed. Sent up. Resolve
