Mr Boutelle from the Committee on the Judiciary to whom was referred an Order relative to the taxation of personal estate of minors, reported that legislation is inexpedient which was read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives appointing Messrs. Pierce of Portland Magoun of Bath and Chase of Calais a Committee with such as the Senate may join to report the time place and manner to be prescribed by the Legislature of this State in making choice of a Senator from this State in the Senate of the United States. Read and passed in concurrence and Messrs. Cogswell and Hunton joined.

Order from the House of Representatives appointing the Delegation from Waldo a Committee to take into consideration the propriety of abolishing one of the terms of the Court of Common Pleas holden in the County of Waldo, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. Read and passed in concurrence.
