73 The Secretary of State laid upon the table a Communication from the Governor, transmitting copies of the first & second sections of an Act of the General Assembly of Pennsylvania together with a Resolution of that State, upon the subject of the abolition of Lotteries. Also copies of sundry documents and a law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on the same subject. Read and laid upon the table.
Resolve authorizing the Governor to appoint Agents to protect the timber in the State, came up from the House indefinitely postponed. The Senate recede from their vote whereby they passed said Resolve to be engrossed and concur the House in the indefinite postponement of the same.
