Friday, January, 18. 1833.

Mr Cobb from the Joint Select Committee to employ some suitable person to take care of the Public Buildings by night, reported that they have engaged William C. Fuller to perform that service from nine o'clock in the evening to six in the morning of each night during the session, at one dollar per night. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives appointing Messrs. Bartlette of Orono, Crosby of Hampden, Fish of Lincoln, Patten of Hermon and Miller of Howland, a Committee with such as the Senate may join to enquire into the expediency of repealing a law passed March 9. 1832 respecting the survey of lumber in the County of Penobscot. Read and passed in concurrence and Messrs. Emerson, Hamlin and Davee were joined.

On motion of Mr Boutelle, Ordered that the Committee to whom was referred so much of the Governors message as relates to the North Eastern Boundary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of repealing a Resolve respecting the territory lying North and East of the River St. Johns and St. Francis, approved March 3d. 1832. Read and passed. Sent down for concurrence.

Remonstrance of sundry Inhabitants of Dover against the petition of Daniel Tower to be annexed to Foxcroft, came up from the House, referred to the Committee on Division of towns. The Senate nonconcur and refer the same to the Committee on Incorporation of towns. Sent down for concurrence.
