The Committee on Engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Resolve in favor of Bowdoin College and on motion to lay the same on the table until the first day of May next, the question was taken by yeas and nays and decided in the affirmative as follows yeas 77, Nays 63.

Bill for establishing the Jurisdictional limits of towns, - to incorporate the Pucinian Society of Bowdoin College, - exempting certain property from attachment - relative to the duties of State Treasurer, Resolve for taxing sheep, - altering the time of taking valuations, Report on the petition of Day and Frazer, which were laid on the table by order of the House, were severally taken up and indefinitely postponed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill respecting School Committees - to establish the Maine Hospital - additional fixing salaries for Judges and Registers of Probate, - to incorporate the Proprietors of Island Wharf, Report of the Committee on Literature on the subject of the appointment of a Superintendent of Public Schools with the accompanying Bill, which were laid on the table by order of the House were severally taken up and referred to the next Legislature - sent up for concurrence.

Report on the petition of the towns of Bowdoin and Lisbon, granting an order of notice was read and accepted in concurrence with the Senate.
