294 Friday March 9, 1832 Met according to adjournment

An order came from the Senate for concurrence, directing that Messrs. Hunton, Emerson and Thayer with such as the House may join, be a committee to wait on the Governor and him that the two Houses have passed upon all the business now before them and are ready to adjourn without day and to inquire if he has any further communication to make to them and the House concurred and Messrs. Clifford, Parker, Knowlton, Smith of Westbrook and O'Brien were joined.

Bill to alter and amend an act to establish a College in the town of Brunswick, was read and referred to the next Legislature.

A message was received from the Senate informing the House that they had voted when they next adjourn, to adjourn without day.

Ordered that when the House next adjourn, it adjourn without day and the Senate by message was notified thereof.

Report on a communication from the Secretary of State in relation to clerk hire was read and accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

The Committee on Engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill to establish the Sheepscot Ferry Company - additional to an act granting a lottery to encourage steam navigation in this State & for other purposes - ascertaining and establishing the Jurisdictional limits of towns - relative to the powers of sheriffs and their deputies, coroners and constables. additional
