A Communication was received from John Holmes addressed to the Speaker of the House, which was read in part, and on motion the further reading dispensed with - whereupon on motion of Mr Chase of Calais the Rules and Orders of the House were so far dispensed with as to refuse to take any further notice of the Communication.

Bill - to set off a part of the town of Hallowell and annex the same to the town of Gardiner was read a second time and before any question was taken thereon an adjournment was called for.
