270. Bill - to repeal an Act to prevent frauds in the inspection of Fish - - to regulate the Survey of Lumber in the County of Penobscot - were severally read a first and second time and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a further consideration.

Resolve - providing for the division of certain Indian lands - having had three several readings - was indefinitely postponed - sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of Samuel Sevey - - granting aid for making a road in Penobscot County - - appropriating proceeds of certain State Lands for the support of Schools - were read a second time and passed to be engrossed - sent up for concurrence.

Report on Petition of Charles Rogers and others - on Petition of the Massachusetts Society for the promotion of Agriculture - were read and accepted in concurrence with the Senate - sent up.

Report - on Petition of John W. Gookin and Daniel Hill 2d. granting an Order of Notice - was read and accepted in concurrence with the Senate - sent up

Report - on an Order relating to the Valuation of Cornville and Milburn - that legislation on that subject is inexpedient - was read and accepted.

Petition of Ashur Ware and Nathan Weston Jr. committee of the Maine Historical Society came from the Senate for concurrence, referred to the next Legislature, and the House concurred.
