Thursday February 25th 1830

Met according to adjournment. Report of the committee on the order directing them to enquire as to the expediency of repealing the proviso in the act of March 3d 1829 relative to the organization of Corporations, that legislation is inexpedient, was read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Reports of the petitions of Anson G. Chandler Andrew Bradford & al that legislation on the same is inexpedient, was read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Report of the committee on the order directing them to inquire as to the expediency of requiring commanding officers of independent companies to give notice to commanding officers of standing Companies of enlistment &c, that legislation on the subject is inexpedient was read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Reports on the petitions of Nathaniel Tilton Joseph Ludgwig &als George Chilcot & als Samuel Carter & als granting leave to withdraw were severally read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Reports on the petitions of William Lord & als Joseph Barker & als Thomas Smiley & als Selectmen of Whitfield granting an Order of Notice were severally read and accepted in Concurrence with the Senate.
