On motion of Mr Shapleigh of Berwick Ordered, That the committee on Finance be instructed to apportion the State Tax for the current year upon the towns Shapleigh & Acton according to the valuations of those towns - read & passed.

The House reconsidered their vote of 5th inst. accepting the report on the petition of Henry Millikin & referred the same to the committee who reported the same. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Blake of Otisfield Ordered, That the committee on Finance be instructed to take two dollars from the sum of the State Tax assessed to Otisfield and add the same to the Tax assessed to Oxford - also to apportion on the Towns of Poland & Otisfield the tax assessed to Thompson pond plantation - read & passed.

Petitions of Lewis Nash & of - Samuel M Quincy } relating to the official conduct of Luther Fitch &c were severally read & referred to the committee on the Judiciary Sent up for concurrence.
