Friday January 17. 1834

Petition to divide the ministerial funds among the several Sectarian Societies or Denominations in the town of Rumford, came up from the House referred to a Joint Select Committee consisting of Messrs Bolster, McCrate, Lawrence, Hutchins, Lamb, Currier, Metcalf, Knight, Carpenter of Lee, and Judkins, with such as the Senate may join. Concurred, and Messrs. Knowlton, Manning, Brown, Farnham, and Porter are joined.

Petition of Francis Swan and others, proprietors of the Sebasticook Bridge in Winslow for an extension of their Charter, " of Samuel Thatcher and others for a Canal in the town of Orrington, Remonstrance of A.W. Babcock and others, against the Penobscot Mill Dam Corporation, severally read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals in concurrence.

Petition of Edwin S. Hovey and others to be incorporated into a Banking Corporation under the name of the President, Directors and Company of the "East Thomaston Rock Bank", " of Samuel Wheeler and others for a Bank at Eastport, severally read and referred to the Committee on Banks and Banking, in concurrence.

Petition of Randall Fish to be paid expences of an inquisition on the dead body of James Byrne, a stranger, " of Charles Day and John F. Frazier, for further compensation on account of printing done for the State in the year 1829, severally read and referred to the Committee on Claims in concurrence.

Petition of True W. Dore, praying for a divorce from
