Bill to alter the time of holding a meeting of the county commissioners in Penobscot County was read once and committed to Messrs Emerson, Davees, and Smith.

Resolve in favour of Robert L. Rogers and Charles Rogers Junr was read once and committed to Messrs Webb, Burnham, and Porter.

The select committee, to which was referred Bill to incorporate the Calais Railway Company reported the same with an amendment which was adopted, and said Bill passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr Groton, from the committee on Literary Institutions, to which was recommitted an act respecting school agents, reported the same without amendment, and said Bill was passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr Megquier, from the committee on the Judiciary, reported that Legislation is inexpedient on an order relating to an act concerning corporation, read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr Sweat, from the committee on State Lands, made a report on a report of Milford L. Norton, late Land agent, recommending that said subject be referred to the committee on State roads, read and accepted, and said subject accordingly referred to said committee on State roads. Sent down for concurrence.
