Mr. Kelsey from the Committee on State Lands to which was recommitted the petition of certain Indians of the Penobscot Tribe, reported a statement of facts, which report was read, and on motion of Mr. Smith laid upon the table.

Mr. Farnsworth from the Committee on Turnpikes Bridges and Canals, reported leave to withdraw on petition of David L. Hobbs and others; read & accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

The same gentleman from the same Committee, to which was referred the petition of William Bradbury and others, reported Bill to incorporate the Kenduskeag Canal Corporation, which was read and on motion of Mr. Farnsworth, laid upon the table, and ordered that three hundred copies be printed for the use of the Legislature.

The same gentleman from the Joint Select Committee to which was referred an Act to establish the compensation of Clerks of Courts, and giving further remedies on Clerks Bonds, reported that the same ought not to pass, read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

The Secretary of State laid upon the table the official statements received at the Secretary's office, of the expenditures made by the Kennebec, East Somerset & West Somerset Agricultural Societies, and the Cumberland Agricultural and Horticultural Society, read and referred to the Committee on Agriculture. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
