came from the Senate accepted for concurrence, and the House nonconcurred, and amended the report so as to Bring in a Bill entitled "An additional act establishing the Municipal Court in the City of Portland which was read 1st & 2d time and Monday next 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.
The "Abstract of the Returns of the Blind in this State" &c came from the Senate referred to the committee on so much of the Governor message as relates to the subject of an Insane Hospital and asylum doe the Blind and the House receded from their vote of the 9th inst & concurred with the Senate.
An order came from the Senate instructing the committee on the Judiciary to enquire into the expediency of repealing all laws in relation to fees, receivable by the Clerks of Courts, for which they are accountable by laws to the State - or so amend the laws as that said Clerks shall be made accountable for said fees, to County Treasurers - and the House concurred.
Bill - An Act to incorporate the Portland Thread Company was called up and amended by striking out the second section, and then ordered to lie upon the table.
Bill - An act to incorporate the Kennebec Lumbering Company, came from the Senate amended for concurrence and the House recede and concur, and pass the Bill to be engrossed as amended in concurrence.
