Bill additional respecting the Winthrop Bank, " to incorporate the town of Springfield, " to set off Cornelius Thompson from Bowdoin and to annex him to Lisbon, Resolve in favor of Samuel Holden, " in favor of the Passamaquoddy Indians, were severally read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Portland mining & Railway Company was read a second time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

Resolve to establish a Board of Internal Improvements (reported by Mr. Farnham from the Joint Select Committee to which was referred so much of the Governor's Message as relates to the subject of Internal Improvements,) was read once, and on motion of Mr. Smith laid upon the table, and ordered that three hundred copies be printed for use of the Legislature.

A message from the House informing the Senate that the House had reconsidered the vote whereby they accepted the report of the Committee on Division of Towns in concurrence, in referring to the next Legislature the petition of inhabitants of Chandler's Gore, and requesting the return of the papers to the House. Whereupon the Senate reconsider the vote accepting said report, and the papers were accordingly returned by the Secretary in concurrence.

Bill to annex Joseph Stackpole and others to Albion, was read a second time and recommitted with instructions to report order of notice to the next Legislature.
