255 Friday, March 6, 1835

 Order from the House of Representatives requesting the Senate to take from their files the petition of the proprietors of the Baptist Parsonage in Shapleigh with the accompanying papers and send then to this House - read and passed, in concurrence and the said petition and accompanying papers were accordingly sent to the House
 Bill providing for the election of County Commissioners was read once; and Mr O'Brien moved to postpone the further consideration of said Bill till Tuesday next; and the question of thus postponing, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the negative, as follows, to wit;

Yeas. Messrs Barnard, Chandler, McLellan, O'Brien, Prescott, and Read - 6 Nays. Messrs, Allen, Brown, Burnham, Clark, Farnham, Fish, F Greene, C Greene, Latham, Mantor, Miller, McIntire, Pierce, Purinton and Smith - 15 Mr Bartlett, for special reasons, was excused from voting. Mr Purinton moved that the Bill be indefinitely postponed, and the question of indefinite postponement, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative, as follows, to wit; Yeas. Messrs, Allen, Bartlett, Brown, Burnham, Chandler, Clark, Fish, F Greene, C Greene, Latham, Mantor, McIntire, Pierce, Purinton and Smith - 15 Nays. Messrs, Barnard, Farnham, Miller, McLallan, Obrien, Prescott, and Read 7

 Sent down for concurrence.

Mr O'Brien has leave of absence the remainder of the session, commencing on Monday next.
