Bill to set off Cornelius Thompson from Bowdoin and annex him to Lisbon, came up from the House, recommitted, which on motion of Mr. Groton was ordered to lie on the table.

Resolve, laid on the table by Mr. Knowlton, in favor of Moses True, was read once, and referred to the Committee on Claims. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Petition of inhabitants of the town of Cumberland for repealing the license Laws, was read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary in concurrence.

Petition of John Pitts and others in behalf of the Trustees of the Titcomb Belgrade Academy, for aid, was read and referred to the Committee on Literature & Literary Institutions, in concurrence.

Orders from the House, instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of so altering the law that Plantations shall be obliged to support their poor, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise; read and passed in concurrence.

Order from the House, instructing the Committee on Agriculture to inquire into the expediency of regulating, by law, the sale of Grain, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise; read and passed in concurrence.

Resolve in favor of the town of Baileyville, " for the benefit of the town of Princeton, " in favor of George Brooks, severally read a second time and indefinitely postponed. Sent down for concurrence.
