Met according to adjournment.

On motion by Abe Holmes of Alfred Ordered, That the Committee on State Lands be instructed to inquire into the expediency of appropriating a quantity of land to supply the deficiency for the benefit of certain officers & soldiers of the Revolutionary War & the widows of the deceased officers & soldiers. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr Little of Portland, Ordered, That the Committee on Canals & Rail roads be instructed to enquire into the expediency of a general act in relation to petitions for acts of Incorporation for Canal & Rail road Companies; Also into the expediency of a general act defining the rights and duties of canals and railroad corporations. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr Holmes of Alfred Ordered, That the Committee on State Lands be instructed to inquire whether any error or frauds have occurred in the selection or a assignment of the lands under a resolve of the last Legislature for the benefit of the officers and soldiers of the Revolutionary War and the Widows of such deceased officers & soldiers. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr Scammon of Pittston Ordered, That this House commence its daily sessions at half past nine o clock in the morning till otherwise ordered.
