Went out with Gen. beyond Cub Run - Look in battery & support just beyond the Run. Superintended destination of bridge[?] afterwards. Went into position on the hill just this side again. While standing on the hill noticed picket fencing our old position. Enemy opened with guns from the road. Fired but a short time We sent up a battery[?] to safety[?]
