Met according to adjournment

An order came from the Senate instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of authorizing Guardians of Insane persons to give deeds in certain cases, wherein their wards, while in sound mind, entered into contracts to give deeds upon the performance thereof, and by reasons of insanity are unable to do so when said contracts are fulfilled by the party or his representative, who is entitled to a deed - and the House concurred.

Order of notice on the petition of Joseph Sewall & others came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of so far amending the 4th section of an act entitled an Act to secure to log owners their property in Logs, Masts, Spars & other timber, passed April 1st 1831, as to exempt owners of land from the penalties of the act, on the remote parts of which logs, masts, spars or other timber may have been found with the mark cut out or altered, or the said logs cut up or split into bolts for shingles or clapboards, without any other evidence of the guilt of the owner of such land and the House concurred.

Resolve in favor of the Passamaquoddy Indians, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
