There being but one election in this District leaves a vacancy of one, and John L. Blake and Levi Johnson are the two highest and the constitutional Candidates for election. In the towns and plantations included in the Eleventh Senatorial District or District of Oxford, the whole number of votes legally and constitutionally returned is -- 8498. Necessary to a choice 2125. Isaac Strickland had 2948. Jonathan Swift " 2944. and are elected. Which report was read and accepted.

On motion of Mr Kelsey. Ordered that when the Senate adjourn it shall be to meet again at half past two oclock in the afternoon and the Senate accordingly

On motion of Mr Jewett. Ordered, that a message be sent to the House of Representatives informing them that there is a vacancy of one Senator, in the Tenth Senatorial District, and that John L. Blake and Levi Johnson are the constitutional Candidates fore - said vacancy; and that this Board propose a Convention of the two Houses at eleven o oclock tomorrow in the Representative's "Call for the purpose of supplying the same and to ask their concurrence, which message was delivered by the Secretary.
