Mr Hodgman of Warren presented the Account of the Warden of the State Prison, which with the accompanying documents was read & referred to the committee on the State Prison and six hundred copies ordered to be printed for the use of the Legislature. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An act relative to the safe keeping of persons lunatic or furiously mad, was read a third time & ordered to lie on the table -

Bill - to annex certain land belonging to Jonas Jordan to the town of Raymond, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Petition of M. P. Sawyer & others to be incorporated by the name of the Kennebec river log driving Company, was read & referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr Burleigh of Dexter, Ordered, That the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals be instructed to enquire into the expediency of passing a law prohibiting any person or persons from passing the floating bridge across Pleasant Pond in the town of Dexter, with a cart or waggon with more than four oxen or horses attached to, or with more than one and a half tons burthen thereon. Sent up for concurrence.
