Order from the House of Representatives, in- structing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of providing by law that the ac tion of replevin shall on the death of the defendant, survive against his personal representatives - read and passed in concurrence.
The following Orders came up from the House of Representatives --- severally read and passed in concurrence, to wit. Instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of providing that the law, prohibiting Sheriffs and Deputy Sheriffs from acting as attornies to parties be extended to Con- stables___________
Instructing the Committee on the Judiciary
to inquire into the expediency of abolishing the law requiring Inspectors of Fish to pay a duty for their Commissions _______________
Instructing the Committee on the Judiciary
to inquire whether the Resolve of March 17, 1835, rela- tive to Land Pensions, extends to cases of citizens of Massachusetts, enlisting in other States, and report such explanations in relation thereto as the provis- ions of said Resolve with warrant _______________
Instructing the Committee on the Judiciary
to inquire what alteration of the law relating to the ser- vice and taxing of subpenas in civil proceedings if any, in necessary - also to regulate the fees for the service of subpenas and other processes in which here is no command to make return thereof---
