257. their vote of yesterday whereby they indefinitely postponed "Resolve in favor of the Trustees of Massachusetts Society for the promotion of Agriculture." Mr. Latham moved the indefinite postponement of said Resolve; and the question of indefinite postponement, in concurrence with the House, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative, as follows, to wit: Yeas. Messrs. Allen, Bartlett, Brown, Burnham, Chandler, Clark, Fish, Latham, Mantor, Miller, McIntire, McLellan, O'Brien, Pierce, Purinton and Read, 16. Nays. Messrs. Barnard, Emmond, Farnham, F. Greene, C. Greene, Prescott and Smith, 7.

Bill additional to provide for the location of certain lands (reported by Mr. Chandler from the Committee on the Judiciary, on petition of Gideon S. Newton and others,) " to incorporate the owners of Meeting houses and for other purposes (reported by Mr. Emmons from the same Committee, on an order relative to providing by law for the disposition of Meeting houses,) " to incorporate the town of Roxbury, (reported by Mr. Bartlett from the Committee on Incorporation of Towns, on petition of inhabitants of No. 7, in Oxford County) " to incorporate the town of Weston (reported by the same Gentleman, from the same Committee, on petition of William Butterfield and others,) " to repeal an "Act to annex to the town of New Portland sundry lots of land lying in New Vineyard (reported in the House by the Committee on Division of Towns, on petition of Philander Butler and others) severally read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
