240. Monday, March 2,1835. Mr. Barnard, from the Committee on Manufactures, to which was referred the petition of Robert H. Gardiner and others, made a report asking to be discharged from the further consideration thereof & that the same be referred to the Committee on the Judiciary - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Mr. Tobin, from the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, reported reference to next Legislature on petition of James Libbey and others, Moses Copeland and others, John G. Paine and others, Oliver Crawford and others, Cashmere Lash and others and Haunce Robinson and others - severally read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

The Committee on Agriculture reported legislation inexpedient on petition of Jacob Hunt and others, and leave to withdraw on petition of J.B. Cross and others and Selectmen of Bath - read and accepted, in concurrence.

Mr. Smith, from the Committee on Manufactures, reported leave to withdraw on petition of James Crosby and others; and legislation inexpedient on an order relative to a uniform system for the survey or sealing of mill logs -- read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

The same Gentleman, from the same Committee to which was referred the Bill to regulate the survey of lumber in the County of Kennebec, reported that said Bill ought not to pass - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
